READ THIS ENTIRE POST BEFORE BEGINNING TODAY'S ASSIGNMENT

Today's assignment is #13 out of 19 assignments.

The following students are currently earning zero credits in this class.

Jennifer  missing 7 assignments
Michael missing 7 assignments
Joshua missing 6 assignments
Chase missing 4 assignments
Juan C. missing 3 assignments
Juan O. missing 3 assignments
Brayan Q. missing 3 assignments
Brayan G. missing 1 assignment
Sabrina missing 1 assignment

Keep in mind that you all sent me an email that stated the following:

"I understand that I must correctly complete all 19 assignments by the last day of this class (June 22, 2016) to earn the 5 credits in this class.  If I do not complete everything, then I will not earn any credit."

Every assignment description details what you need to do and what you need to email to me to complete the assignment.  If you are required to email more than one screenshot to complete an assignment, then only send 1 email with all of the required screenshots attached.

Sending pictures taken from your phone will not be accepted.  All computers (tablets as well) do screenshots.  5 credits are on the line.  If you want the credits, then you need to complete all of the assignments.

To complete an assignment from home
1)  You must complete the game (finish all the levels) or spend at least 50 minutes completing as many levels as possible.
2)  Screenshot the required thing(s) detailed in the assignment's description
3)  Email me with the required screenshot(s) attached

#13 Cloudy

Today's game is Cloudy.  If you complete all 20 levels you will get a bonus (credit for one missing assignment).

As always,
During the last 5 minutes of class, send me an email from the computer that you are using (not from your phone).  Attach the screen shot showing the last level that you make it to.  I completed all 20 levels.  I challenge anyone to beat that!

You need to be playing the game until at least 5 minutes before the end of class (11:25 am).  This will allow you enough time to do the screen shot and email.  The email with the screenshot is necessary to get credit for the assignment.  If you do not have credit for all of the assignments, then you will get zero (0) credits for this class.

Thursday, June 9, 2016

Any missing assignments equals ZERO (0) credits in this class.

Currently, 9 of you are missing assignments.  That means that you will not earn any credit for this part of the wheel.  You need to go on Schoolloop and check the progress report for this class.  Any assignments with a zero must be completed.

All assignments and instructions for correctly completing those assignments are found on this blog.  It would be a good idea to A) remember this blog, B) write down the address of this blog, or C) email the blog address to yourself, so that you can make up your missing assignments from home.

#12 Push It

Today's game is Push It.

As always, take a screen shot of the highest level you make it to.  I made it through all 20 levels earning 39 stars.  If you complete all 20 levels send me the level select page (the second picture).

During the last 5 minutes of class, send me an email from the computer that you are using (not from your phone).  Attach the screen shot showing the last level that you make it to.  I made it to through all 20 levels earning 39 stars.

To do a screen shot:

On the macs,  hold down the apple/shift/4 keys at the same time. The cursor will change and you drag a rectangle over the area that you want to save.  The screen shot will be sent to the desktop.

On the PCs, click on the windows icon in the lower left corner of the screen.  Then choose the snipping tool.  Drag a rectangle over the area you want to save.  The screenshot will pop up.  Click save as, name it, and change the destination to the desktop.

#10 Shrink It/Shrink It Falling

Today's games are Shrink It and Shrink It Falling  There are 20 levels in each and you need to finish all 40 for this assignment.  In the email that you send me attach screenshots of the last level and the "congradulations you beat the game" screen (see examples below).  That is 4 total screen shots in 1 email (attach all 4 screenshots to 1 email).  I like how they incorrectly spelled "congratulations."

It will not take you the entire period to do this.  This is good because most of you are not getting any credits at this point because you are missing assignments.  Go on schoolloop to see what you are missing.  Read the directions for any missing assignments, and send the necessary emails to me (so that I can give you a grade for those missing assignments).

If you are completely caught up, then go back to one of our previous games ( B-cubedIsoBall, Water Drops, Liquid Measure 3, BlockageBlocks) and try to complete it.

There is also a bonus assignment if you want to try that.

#3 B-cubed

Today's game is B-cubed

There are 30 different levels.  You should finish at least the first 20 levels.  Some of you might be able to finish all 30.  With all the ads and background stuff going on with this site, you will experience some lag time occasionally.  It comes and goes.

As with all of these games at the end of class, email me the level number and the passcode for your highest level.

FYI- I finished 20 levels in about 15 minutes including the annoying lag times.

Bonus assignment- The Rubik's Cube

This bonus assignment is worth 2 assignments.  Only one person can attempt this at a time.  I will provide you with a cube and a website that will give you step by step instructions on how to  solve the Rubik's Cube.  The people that are able to solve the cube in seconds have memorized these different sequences to solve the cube.

You do not have to memorize.  All you have to do is read and follow the instructions.  I will give you a mixed up cube.  When you solve it, return it to me and you will get credit for 2 of the 19 assignments necessary to earn 5 credits in this class.  If you break my cube, you will have to replace it with a new one ($9.99 at Target).
